Stratigraphy
Stratigraphic resolution: | formation
Stratigraphy comments: Unknown lithostratigraphic data. Table of known taxon biostratigraphic distribution suggests a Pliocene age. Amussium mortoni, Anomia simplex, Laevicardium sublineatum, and Ficus [Pyrula] papyratia are all know from the Yorktown and Waccamaw Formations = Early Pliocene. Text also suggests an "inferior Pliocene" age, though does not discount Miocene age. |
Lithology and environment
Primary lithology: | "siliciclastic" |
Lithology description: Unknown lithologic data. Seems likely to be from siliciclastic lithologies.
