The Goose Creek Limestone is divisible into lower and upper biostratigraphic units, coincident with lith division, seperated by an unconformity. The Raysor Marl unconformably overlies the lower Goose Creek Limestone. The lower Goose Creek Limestone is of late middle Pliocene (~3.8-3.9 Ma).
