Stratigraphy
Formation:Nyalindung
Stratigraphic resolution:bed
Stratigraphy comments: STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: Formerly referred to as Nyalindung Mbr of Cimandiri Fm (Sukamoto, 1990). Overlying Jampang Fm. THICKNESS: From <1 m thick bed within <2 m section; total composite section thickness is estimated at around 40 m. AGE: Age still debated, but most evidence, including molluscan and foraminiferal biostratigraphy suggest a Middle Miocene age. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From upper part of cycle 8 near base of the Nyalindung Fm.
