Lithology description: Unit B2 is composed of silty sand which may occur as a massive bioturbated bed or finely laminated with discrete silt beds. The thickness varies from 20m to a few meters. Both the upper and lower contacts are gradational.

Geology comments: Contains the richest faunas in the Kap Kobenhavn formation and is interpreted to mark an increase in transgression rate or decrease in sediment supply.
