Stratigraphy comments: STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From the Port Charlotte Mbr of the Bayshore Fm, Hawthorn Grp, which is overlies the Cocoplum Mbr or the Bayshore Fm, and is overlain by the the Murdock Station Fm. Correlative with the Eastover Fm. THICKNESS: Varies between 1 and 2 m across areal extent. AGE: Late Miocene. Based on macrofossil biostratigraphy the unit is throught to represent the Messinian. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: Checklist representative of entire member.
