Stratigraphy
Stratigraphic resolution:bed
Stratigraphy comments: STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From unnamed terrace deposits that overly the Niguel Fm (Late Pleistocene) AGE: Late Pleistocene, on the basis of geochemical dating. Uranium series dating (Grant et al., 1999) of a solitary coral from a nearby correlated locality gave an age of 122,000, giving the Fletcher Jones site an approximate age range of 120-125 Ka. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From terrace deposits 2-2.5 m above an unconformity with the Niguel Fm.
