Lithology description: "[Spiny Limestone Member] Package E2.8 Interval 50.5-52.5m Thickness 2.0m Limestone: yellowish-grey, thickly platy, oolitic, bioclastic, sandy. Bioclasts compose 80% of the rock and are presented by foraminifers, bivalves, brachiopods, bryozoans, and fragments of crinoids. Trace fossils are represented by large (5-10mm in diameter) horizontal, branching burrows filled with shell debris. Packages E2/9 Interval 52.5-54.5m Thickness (visible) 2.0m Limestone: light-grey, compact, oolitic, massive, sometimes thinly bedded, containing forams, gastropods, bivalves, brachiopods, rare bryozoans and conodonts. This bed armours the edge of the slope and is overlain by the soil." (Nurgaliev et al. 2015)
