Where: Cataluña, Spain (42.0° N, 0.8° E: paleocoordinates 34.9° N, 0.1° E)
• coordinate estimated from map
• small collection-level geographic resolution
When: Unit 2 Member (Tremp Formation), Danian (66.0 - 61.6 Ma)
• Domingo et al. 2007: The Fontllonga-3 site belongs to the Tremp Formation which constitutes the last infilling episode of the Cretaceous basin. The Fontllonga-3 site is located near the top of Unit 2 of the Tremp Formation (Galbrun et al., 1993; Fig. 2).
•If Danian, it is unlikely to belong to "Unit 2."
•Earliest Danian, magnetochron C29r
•Galbrun et al. 1993 place this in Unit 2, beneath Unit 3 (= Vallcebre Limestone).
