Artazu VII (Pleistocene of Spain)

Where: Arrasate, Spain (43.1° N, 2.5° W: paleocoordinates 43.1° N, 2.5° W)

• coordinate stated in text

• small collection-level geographic resolution

When: Late/Upper Pleistocene (0.1 - 0.0 Ma)

• Therefore, considering that Artazu VII is attributed to the first half of the late Pleistocene and the inferred environment is relatively warm, we propose that the deposit would correspond to a warm moment in the MIS 5c substage.

Environment/lithology: cave; claystone and siltstone

• The original cave is destroyed as a result of a blasting in the quarry

Size classes: macrofossils, mesofossils, microfossils
