Where: Denmark (55.5° N, 10.5° E: paleocoordinates 49.7° N, 7.4° E)
• coordinate stated in text
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Lellinge Greensand Formation, Selandian (61.6 - 59.2 Ma)
• Isolated boulders of the Lellinge Greensand Limestone, Middle Paleocene (Lower Selandian). In Copenhagen the lower part of the Lellinge Greensand contains nannofossils of lower NP5 (Stouge et al., 2000) and planktonic foraminifera of subzone P3a or older. In the dark clay at a higher level, planktonic foraminifera indicate zone P3. Together, suggests an early Selandian age.
• bed-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: transition zone or lower shoreface; poorly lithified, fine-grained, glauconitic, shelly/skeletal, calcareous sandstone
Size class: macrofossils
Collection methods: quarrying,
• Collection derived from specimens reposited in the Geological Museum, Copenhagen
