When: Psephosthenaspis microspinosa small shelly zone, Olenidsletta Member (Valhallfonna Formation), Whiterockian (470.0 - 457.3 Ma)

• While collections were made throughout section, only ranges of trilobite species are reported. Zone V3b comprises meters 120-145 of the Olenidsletta Member. Correlates with part of "zone L" of Ross 1951, Hintze 1951, 1952.

Environment/lithology: slope; lithified, black limestone and lithified, black shale

• "The dominant lithologies of this part of the section are finely crystalline black limestones and shales, the former often with perfectly regular fine laminations, having a concoidal fracture and, when broken, emitting a strong, bituminous or sulphureous odor." Fortey 1974
