Environment/lithology: marine; yellow, calcareous sandstone and ferruginous, green shale

• Precordillera Oriental. Intepreted as platform deposits affected by storms.
• Alternating sandstones and shales, green, brown, and purple, with some ferruginous horizons. Near the top are lenses with fossils--which are calcareous sandstones, yellow-brownish.
