When: Asbian to Asbian (340.0 - 330.9 Ma)
• 'The basin is about 11km long, northwest to southeast. Its succession was subdivided by Rodriquez et al. (1992) into 8 units, with a total of more than 1000m. The section at Las Pilitas 2 is 45 m thick, and the upper portion is regarded as Unit 6. The fossils come from a marly breccia beneath a limestone bed 1.5m thick near the top of the section.'
