Environment/lithology: marine; lithified, gray marl and lithified, sandy limestone
•main part of the exposed and accessible succession is about
•18 m thick and is made up of thick grey marly beds with
•thin sandy marl intercalations. The topmost part is made up
•of interbedded marl and sandy limestones. The material stud-
•ied comes from the lower twoethirds of this part of the highly
•fossiliferous succession.
