Where: Quebec, Canada (48.5° N, 64.3° W: paleocoordinates 26.0° S, 43.0° W)

When: Garin Formation, Edenian to Edenian (451.0 - 449.6 Ma)

• PJW: Was White Head, but that has been redefined to be younger; given quadrimucronatus, Garin is appropriate. ("Caradoc" probably reflects the Edenian being considered Caradoc at one time.)

Environment/lithology: offshore; lithified shale and lithified dolomite

• Shale unit. Some dolomite is interbedded within the shales, and the shales form a minor part of a laminated limestone sequence.
