• 27 ft thick sandstone, about 27 ft above base of section; classified as "lower sandstone division" in Jeletzky (1961); Jeletzky (1961) assigns this unit a Berrasian age.

Environment/lithology: marine; poorly lithified, fine-grained, brown, gray, silty sandstone

• Sandstone, dull-grey with rusty specks and inclusions where fresh, brownish tinged; weathers chunky and brown to brown grey; fine-grained, silty to very silty.
