Also known as D.8618, D.8621, DJ.377

Where: Antarctica (63.9° S, 57.9° W: paleocoordinates 61.7° S, 68.5° W)

• coordinate stated in text

• outcrop-level geographic resolution

When: Lachman Crags Member (Santa Marta Formation), Early/Lower Campanian (83.5 - 70.6 Ma)

• Early Campanian, on the basis of calcareous nannofossils, and consistent with ammonites (Guerra et al., 2015). Near the top of the section, just below the debris-covered slopes of the volcanic cap, are three prominent conglomerate beds, rich in crustacean remains; spot collections were also made in conglomerate exposures about 309 m below the base of the section.

• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: offshore; lithified sandstone

• Deposited below storm wave base in mid to outer shelf depths

Size class: macrofossils

Reposited in the BMNH
