• The Beudanticeras Shale is a 120 m thick olive-green to grayish shale, with concretions, cone-in-cone structures, and intercalations of thin-bedded, lens-forming, dark gray limestone (5–30 cm), fi lled with small turritellid gastropods and nuculid bivalves. Trigoniids and ammonites can be found throughout the unit
