When: Deshayesites forbesi ammonoid zone, Argiles à Plicatules Formation, Early/Lower Aptian (121.4 - 122.5 Ma)
• The accompanying ammonite fauna indicates a stratigraphical position between the top of the Deshayesites forbesi Zone and the Deshayesites deshayesi Zone. However, the preservation of these four specimens, as calcareous moulds of relatively large size, differs from that typically encountered in the form of pyritic nucleus and could be characteristic of a particular level within the Argiles à Plicatules. The holotype of Roloboceras transiens Casey, 1961, with the same preservation and from the same locality, suggests a stratigraphical position of this level in the top of the Deshayesites forbesi Zone, Roloboceras hambrovi Subzone.
