San Pablo de Tiquina (Permian of Bolivia)

Also known as PGAP 13439

Where: Bolivia (16.2° S, 68.9° W: paleocoordinates 28.9° S, 41.8° W)

• coordinate estimated from map

When: Upper Chutani Formation, Kungurian (279.3 - 272.3 Ma)

Environment/lithology:

Size class: macrofossils

Collection methods: This is a fragmentary flora but is included because of its relatively low latitude for Glossopteris. The Late Permian age assigned by the authors is probably too young for marine deposits in this region. It is likely to be late Lower Permian.
