• Upper Ktaoua Formation. Fossils have some affinities with late Ashgill; trinucleid trilobites with upper Rawtheyan. (Changed to Upper Ktaoua by PJW 2018-08-09)

Environment/lithology: offshore; gray mudstone

• Fossil from light grey mudstones. Formation consists mainly of grey-green arenaceous argillites interspersed with rare bands of oolitic iron or phosphatic nodules and varies in thickness from 70 m to 110 n.
