Environment/lithology: reef, buildup or bioherm; lithified, volcaniclastic, green sandstone and lithified bafflestone

• shallow-water, nearshore environment
• limestone lenses dominated by Lithiotis problematica assemblages. Sediment between Lithiotis valves alternates between gray calcareous muds at the base to sandy limestones at the top of the buildups. Buildups vary in size from 1-10 m thick, the tops of the flank beds are inclined 3-5°.
