Environment/lithology: marginal marine; lithified, coarse-grained, pebbly, brown sandstone
• Hard to soft, generally coarse-grained, brown sandstones, which sometimes are pebbly or with thin beds of conglomerate, grading into sandy shales. The more massive layers are often strongly crossbedded and the formation in this zone of outcrop is faulted repeatedly. Some layers are concretionary.
