Where: Indonesia (7.7° S, 110.2° E: paleocoordinates 2.1° S, 118.1° E)

• coordinate based on nearby landmark

• outcrop-level geographic resolution

When: Kalisongo Member (Nanggulan Formation), Middle Eocene (48.6 - 37.2 Ma)

• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From Kalisongo Mbr of th Nanggulan Fm, which unconformably overlies Mesozoic basement rocks, and is overlain by the Seputih Mbr, Nanggulan Fm (Late Eocene-Oligocene), and the Old Andesite Fm (Miocene). AGE: latest Middle Eocene, between P13 and P14 foraminiferal zones. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From uppermost part of Kalisongo Mbr, immediately below Seputih Mbr contact.

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: marine; gray, blue claystone

• ENVIRONMENT: Inner shelf, below the nearshore turbulent zone, with a depth between 25 m and 80 m.
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Blue-gray clay with a little sand. LITHIFICATION: Not stated, but assigned to poorly-lithified on the basis of taphonomic description.

Size class: macrofossils
