• coordinate based on nearby landmark
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: 4 Member (Bashibulake Formation), Early/Lower Oligocene (33.9 - 28.4 Ma)
• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From Member 4 of the Bashibulake Fm, which overlies the Wulagen Fm (upper Middle Eocene) and is overlain by the upper members of the Bashibulake Fm (Late Eocene-Early Oligocene). AGE: Early Oligocene. Justification not stated, but presumably through macrofossil and microfossil biostratigraphy. Pollen present. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From bed within Member 4, within the upper part of the formation.
• bed-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: shallow subtidal; lithified sandstone
Size class: macrofossils
Reposited in the NIGPAS
