• Horizon lies between the Bitterfeld main coal seam and the Breitenfeld seam. Bitterfeld amber formerly given a Miocene age (Sporomorph zone IIIA) but is actually redeposited Baltic amber.

• Animal is complete with body length 2mm. Interpreted as adult female
