• "This low- to medium-diversity community, rich in tentaculitids, represents a BA 2, relatively quiet water nearshore environment. This interpretation is consistent with the following factors: the presence of BA 1 bivalve communities in the underlying Lianhuashan Fm., a varied vertebrate fauna as well as plant spores, adn the presenceof many BA 3 communities in the overlying Yukiang Fm. This interpretation is consistent with the presence of interlayered Protathyris Comm. that also belows to BA 2."
