When: Productus Shale Formation, Lopingian (259.9 - 252.2 Ma)

• Included in a volume on Jurassic bivalves of the Spiti Shales, but Holdhaus states that "the specimen bears the following label - 'Geode in black shales below Werfen beds; fossil doubtful but there are not Spiti shales south of the Niti Pass'". The locality and stratigraphic description are consistent with the Upper Permian Productus shales, and the specimens are related to other Permian bivalves (Dickins & Shah, 1965).
