• local area-level geographic resolution

When: Moneague Formation (White Limestone Group), Early/Lower Oligocene (33.9 - 28.4 Ma)

• The White Limestone covers more than half the island and is over 2,000 ft thick. Its large foraminifera suggest an age of Late Eocene to Early Miocene. AGE: Oligocene, according to Stevens (2004); placed by enterer in Early Oligocene on the basis of stratigraphic position.

• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: shallow subtidal; lithified, shelly/skeletal limestone

• No environmental reported.
• Evenly-bedded, bioclastic, limestones, rich in mollusca.

Taxonomic list

• Probably not exhaustive due to the poor preservation of the fauna and its limited investigation. Many specimens collected from this unit are so imperfectly preserved that the author states it is still "premature to attempt a monographic description of the fauna as a whole".
