When: Navidad Formation, Late/Upper Miocene (11.6 - 5.3 Ma)

• LITHOSTRATIGRAPHY: From the Navidid Fm (here referred to as Millongue Fm), which is conformably overlain by the Ranquil Fm (Late Miocene). AGE: Dated as Eocene by Garcia (1968), and variably as Miocene by Nielsen in subsequent publications. Finger et al. (2007) suggest a Late Miocene age.

• ENVIRONMENT: Probably reasonably deep-water siliciclastic setting.
