When: Cullen Formation, Late/Upper Eocene (37.2 - 33.9 Ma)

• Eight samples were collected from the 2m thick unit described as "level c" in the outcrop section described by Codignotto and Malumia (1981).

Environment/lithology: estuary or bay; lithified, silty, sandy sandstone

• The Cullen Formation is interpreted as an estuarine-deltaic sequence associated with volcanic activity
• The Cullen Formation consists of a sucession of sandy silts and sands with silty intercalations.
