Environment/lithology: deep subtidal; mudstone and peloidal grainstone

• Platy hemipelagic mudstones, peloidal calcisiltites, and rare black shales

•representing autochthonous facies associations. Facies and architectural studies reveal that the Las Plantas Formation is a minor localized fine grained shallower facies surrounded by conglomerates
