Where: Cyprus (35.0° N, 32.4° E: paleocoordinates 35.0° N, 32.2° E)
• coordinate estimated from map
When: Early/Lower Pliocene (5.3 - 3.6 Ma)
• The micropalaeontological study of the two litholo- gies which are exposed at Androlikou, has shown that Globorotalia humerosa and G. margaritae margari- tae occur in the bioarenite, whereas Globorotalia hu- merosa is associated with G. puncticulata in the marly facies. Consequently, the age of the fossiliferous beds is here interpreted as being Early Pliocene.
