Where: Hungary (46.1° N, 18.1° E: paleocoordinates 7.9° S, 30.8° E)
• coordinate based on nearby landmark
• small collection-level geographic resolution
When: Kovagoszolos Formation, Permian (298.9 - 251.9 Ma)
• The sequence of the Kovagoszolos formation consists of a rhythmic alternation of coarser and finer grained beds, beginning with conglomerates. Its middle part consists of relatively finer grained sandstone beds. Higer up the profile grains become coarser again and the upper part ends with a pebbled sandstone. Lower Varied Sandstone member, middle Gray Sandstone member, and upper Red Sandstone member.
