• "mainly thin bedded ss (dark) interbedded black shale, little or no calcite, some limestone with silty bedds. probably shallow marginal marine- presence of plant fragments would seem to indicate the shale is lagoonal, the plant fragments were questionable however and were found in the sandy interbeds rather than the shale"
