• White (1908): About 55 meters above the granite, or 225 meters below the Iraty black shale.

•Filhos et al (2009): The fossiliferous content of the Bonito River Formation is characterized by the abundance of plant remains (im-pressures of plants - flora Glossopteris) and palinomorphs, found in the associated coals and rocks, which allowed to situate this formation in the Lower Permian, more specifically between the Artinskian and the base of the Kungurian.
