• a local sheltered, shallow marine environment inshore of crinoid and coral banks, Copper's biotope 1
• silty greenish shales alternating with finely laminated argillaceous, micaceous, calcareous siltstones

• Spinatrypid and stringocephalid brachiopods were identified by W. Struve in 1987. M. Coen-Aubert identified the rugose corals. A = abundant, C = common, R = rare.
