Environment/lithology: peritidal; lithified, massive, coarse-grained, gray, sandy dolomite

• Dolostone (Greggs and Bond 1971). More extensively described in Bond and Greggs (1973, CJES 10:1140-1155): "Dolomite-sandy; gray-brown, massive, thick bedded, resistant; sand grains coarse to very coarse, extremely well rounded, moderately well sorted, occur as 'floating' grains in dolomite matrix; pink calcite-filled cavities 1-2 in. (2.5-5.0 cm) diameter common; distinctive red-brown weathering, lower contact very sharp, probably erosional.
