When: Berrydale Greensand Member (Omihi Formation), Otaian (21.7 - 19.0 Ma)
• Foraminifera indicate Duntroonian-Waitakian age (Andrews 1963). Greensand age often given as Waitakian (e.g. Keyes, 1972), but more recent papers (Lee & Wilson, 1979; MacKinnon et al., 1993) give age as Otaian. Stratigraphic unit is the Berrydale Greensand, according to Fryer (1999).
