Environment/lithology: reef, buildup or bioherm; lithified limestone and lithified dolomite

• allochthonous reef blocks derived when several catastrophic events disturbed a Devonian reef tract developed on the W flank of the Cornwallis Fold Belt
• reefal blocks (wackestones and floatstones predominate) in the siltstones of Stuart Bay Formation

Size classes: macrofossils, mesofossils

Collection methods: The common groups in the blocks are stromatoporoids, corals, echinoderms, bryozoans, and brachiopods, but algae, gastropods, ostracods, sponge spicules, foraminiferans, and cephalopods are also present.
