Where: Hungary (47.0° N, 17.3° E: paleocoordinates 32.1° N, 18.5° E)
• coordinate estimated from map
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Rendek Member (Polány Marl Formation), Middle Campanian (83.5 - 70.6 Ma)
• It is unknown whether the cephalopods were found in the same bed, or the same package of beds. Although details of the collecting and the precise stratigraphic position of the ammonites remained unknown, it is very likely that the fossils are of early Late Campanian age - they probably represent the Delawarella delawarensis zone. Using tripartite of the stage, the Sümeg assemblage is Middle Campanian.
