• Difference of opinion on age, Glazek & Szynkiewicz (1987: referenced in paper) say younger than Opole 1 and possibly MN7, Kowalski says 'In my opinion there is no reason to believe that both localities in Ople are of different age.' (p. 203). Middle Miocene, MN5-7.

Environment/lithology:

• loams, unlike Opole 1 these were not covered in lignite.
