It is generally similar to a number of previously-described species, such as L. ziegleri and L. purpurea from the late Llandovery of the Welsh Borderland (Cocks 1968), but the outline of the disc and valve of the Iranian specimens is more rounded than the rather squarer or more quadrilateral outline of the British forms.
