When: Carboniferous (358.9 - 298.9 Ma)

• Plant material occur above Kittanning coal of Allegheny-Pennsylvannina age.

Environment/lithology: shale

• Fossils preserved in a medium-gray thin-to-medium bedded, hackly shale that weather from buff to brownish red and is silty in a few localized zones.

Size class: macrofossils

Preservation: adpression, coalified
