Environment/lithology: reef, buildup or bioherm; lithified reef rocks and lithified limestone

• Microbial-archaeocyathan reef complex, 50 m thick. 3 reef types: Renalcis boundstone without archaeocyathans, stromatactis-bearing microbial boundstones, and Epiphyton bearing boundstones with archaeocyathans. Archaeocyathans are locally abundant but were not essential to the reef construction.
