When: Pinjor Formation (Siwalik Group), Late/Upper Pliocene (3.6 - 2.6 Ma)

• "uppermost beds of the Tatrotian" in Upper Siwaliks

•These outcrops belong to Pinjor Formation (Upper Siwaliks), characterised by heavy minerals, pebbles, sandstone and clay (Pilgrim 1913). Its has lower contact with Tatrot Formation dated 2.58 Ma and upper contact is with BouderConglomerate Formation, varies in age ~2.5 to ~1.7 Ma (Rao et al.1995; Kumaravel et al. 2005).
