Where: Albacete, Spain (39.2° N, 1.7° W: paleocoordinates 39.2° N, 2.0° W)

When: Valdeganga Formation, Pliocene (5.3 - 2.6 Ma)

• Late Pliocene, MN16b. The same bed outcrops at about 5 different places, at a level about 15m above Valdeganga 1.

• Mammoth tooth not recovered from the sample, but found elsewhere.
