Environment/lithology: shallow subtidal; lithified chert and lithified, fine-grained limestone

• "Chert, light and dark laminated, massive, with remnants of finely crystalline, dark limestone in upper part and inter-zoned in lower part, which in non-laminated. Top surface marked by large rounded chert masses. Forms conspicuous, projecting shoulder in mountain side. Numerous small productids in calcareous basal 4 feet."
