Environment/lithology: deep subtidal shelf; packstone

• light brown, poorlysorted

•lithoclasts (limestone) of varying shapes and sizes and associated with a large number

•of both deep water fossils such as Globigerina, Globorotalia, Bulimina, Uvigerina,

•nodosariids, and shallow marine fossils such as Nummulites, Operculina, gastropods,

•echinoids, miliolids and Lithophyllum algae. Quartz, clay, dolomite and pyrite minerals are

•also observed and these together with the carbonate allochems are set in a micrite matrix.

•Open fractures, partially filled with sparry calcite cement is well recognized.
