Where: Slovakia (48.3° N, 19.8° E: paleocoordinates 48.2° N, 19.7° E)

When: Villanyian (3.2 - 2.6 Ma)

• Gauss epoch, Late Pliocene, MN16, Villanyian. There are two localities - Hajnacka I and II, one to the north and one to the south of Hajnacka village. This is the one to the south.

Environment/lithology: lacustrine; tuff

• 'The fossils are found in limnic basin fillings with pyroclastic intercalations (tuffs, tuffite, lapilli, agglomerates).'
• The fossils of Hajnacka I/4 are found in a a bank of fine grey tuffite.

Size classes: macrofossils, mesofossils

Collection methods: Excavated in 1982.
